Job Details

An Electrical Engineer in the MEP (Mechanical/Engineering/Plumbing) Practice shall provide electrical power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm design. Project types include

• Municipal (police, fire and public works facilities)
• Park District (recreation centers, pools & maintenance buildings)
• Apartments, Senior living and multi-use facilities
• Restaurants & entertainment
• Gas stations, C-stores and retail
• Offices and warehouses
• Healthcare facilities

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Produce/maintain design drawings & specifications from schematic design through construction administration
• Conduct field surveys and construction observation
• Engage with clients and staff in order to manage and coordinate scope and schedule

Required Skills/Abilities/Education:

• Minimum of five (5) years experience designing electrical systems
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit proficiency a plus
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel
• Familiarity with building codes (NEC & IECC)
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred, but not required
• PE license is a plus
