Job Description:

Our client, a leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking a Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Engine Components and Systems Analysis (ESCA) department supporting innovative projects in gas turbine engine design and analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid Role: 3 days onsite and 2 days remote)

Pay Range: Max $68.00 Hourly

What's the Job?

  • Conduct design and analysis using complex finite element methods.
  • Provide technical oversight to global engineering teams across time zones.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers in their professional development.
  • Validate requirements and ensure project and product compliance.
  • Engage in risk management and process development initiatives.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience performing structural analysis on gas turbine engines or similar components.
  • Proficiency in linear static, nonlinear/elasto-plastic, fatigue, and vibration analyses.
  • Strong working knowledge of ANSYS finite element software and classical hand calculation methods.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
