We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position is a permanent role within our organization, providing a unique opportunity to participate in exciting construction projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, with a particular emphasis on electrical engineering.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting comprehensive circuit analysis and ensuring electrical safety management across all projects.
2. Ensuring strict compliance with electrical codes and standards.
3. Reading and interpreting blueprints accurately to facilitate smooth construction processes.
4. Designing and overseeing the implementation of electrical power distribution and instrumentation/control systems.
5. Developing and integrating design processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
6. Participating in industrial manufacturing and commercial construction projects.
7. Working on Brownfield projects, ensuring the accurate interpretation of existing infrastructure for effective redevelopment.
8. Preparing and maintaining bills of materials, ensuring all materials are accurately accounted for.
9. Preparing detailed reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
10. Designing electrical schematics and overseeing their implementation.
11. Estimating project costs and preparing detailed cost reports.
12. Conducting site inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
13. Conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards and proposing mitigation measures.
14. Preparing and submitting electrical bids for various projects.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry as an Electrical Engineer.
3. Extensive experience with circuit analysis, electrical safety management, and electrical code compliance.
4. Proficiency in blueprint reading and the design of electrical power distribution and instrumentation/control systems.
5. Experience in developing and integrating design processes.
6. Experience in industrial manufacturing and commercial construction projects.
7. Experience working on Brownfield projects.
8. Proficiency in preparing bills of materials and detailed reports.
9. Experience in electrical schematic design and cost estimation.
10. Experience in conducting site inspections and risk assessments.
11. Experience in preparing and submitting electrical bids.
12. Excellent communication and team management skills.
13. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
14. Proficiency in using electrical design software and tools.
