Job Description:

The Ranger Group,a leading US Engineering Solutions provider to companies across the Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device, Electronics and Industrial Manufacturing industries, is currently seeking aSenior Electrical Engineerfor aContractrole with a leadingAerospacemanufacturer in theChicago Area.This role will require work to be completed100% Onsite.

Responsibilities:

Design analog/power circuits and calculate power dissipation. Translate customer specifications into electrical requirements and develop corresponding test plans. Conduct lab testing and troubleshooting, utilizing PSPICE, DxDesigner, MathCAD, and DOORS. Apply EMI/EMC principles throughout the design process.


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing low signal analog and power electronics, with a familiarity in digital design.

  • Proficiency in calculating component power consumption and dissipation.

  • Ability to translate customer specifications into electrical requirements.

  • Experience in writing test plans based on electrical design.

  • Proficiency in testing and troubleshooting using lab equipment.

  • Skilled in using circuit simulation tools like PSPICE.

  • Experience with Mentor DxDesigner/Expedition for schematic capture.

  • Experience with MathAD for scientific calculations

  • DOORS for capturing electrical requirements.

  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC design principles.

  • Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Electrical Engineering

  • Greater than 7 years professional experience in the field of Electrical Engineering. 10+ years would be preferred.

  • US-Person is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with high current (200A+) and high voltage (270V+) systems.

  • Knowledge of 3-phase inverters.

  • Understanding of motor control theory.

  • Clear communication skills.

  • Ability to explain technical concepts in an easily understandable manner.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team (Electrical, Mechanical, eCAD, Systems, etc.).
