Basic requirements:

Practical application of basic scientific principles, particularly, mechanical and electrical engineering (Both AC and DC motor theory and application); knowledge of fundamental engineering concepts and terminology and their inter-relationships common to all branches of engineering techniques and methods. Ability to compose, edit and prepare technical instructions, reports, correspondence, alterations for final approval. Knowledge of design criteria, industry standards/practices for all types of electrical/electronic equipment and systems. Knowledge and understanding of "state of the art" technology of electrical/electronic/mechanical control systems and motors for Weight Handling Equipment of all types. Ability to incorporate these technological advances into cranes designs involving testing, repair, alteration and new construction. Provides the engineering guidance and design requirements to design agencies. Coordinates and ensures complete comprehensive design and technical review of proposed alterations and new procurement to provide compatibility of components, functional capabilities. Ensure up to date set of as-built drawings, manufacture's manuals are on file.

Education requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university is required.

Starting salaries are commensurate with education and experience, plus full benefits. Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Males born after December 31, 1959 are required to be registered with the Selective Service System. All positions are subject to satisfactory completion of a security investigation, successful completion of a pre-employment physical, and/or drug test.
