Job Summary:
The
Senior Electrical Engineer
will work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment responsible for designing building systems and producing construction documentation for commercial and residential projects in higher education, multifamily, commercial interiors, high-rise, and healthcare markets. We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to be part of our firm.
In this role, you will Design electrical systems including lighting, power, fire alarm, and electrical distribution. Develop calculations for lighting systems and associated controls. Develop electrical system design calculations. Prepare detailed design documents in REVIT. Perform QA/QC design work. Lead a project team and managing projects. Coordinate with Owners and Architects. Coordinate work with other disciplines. Complete code compliance research. Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers. Assist in the procurement of new work; including the development of client relations.
You will be a great fit if: You have a minimum of 8 years design experience. You have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. You possess a Professional Engineer license, PE. You have experience with complex institutional, high-rise mixed-use and commercial projects. You have advanced knowledge and understanding of codes, standards and design guidelines. You have Project Management experience.
Skills/abilities: Excellent work ethic and attitude. Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work. Ability to lead a team as well as work as part of a team. Required proficiency in Revit and MS Office.
Location : Chicago, IL
Compensation : $90,000 - $120,000
