Position Overview


The Junior Electrical Engineer will join the electrical engineering team to support the design and development of next-generation products, focusing on motherboards, custom compute boards, and backplanes. This role will work under the direction and supervision of senior team members to ensure the implementation of reliable and high-quality designs.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and development of electrical systems and components for motherboards, custom compute boards, and backplanes.

Conduct electrical and thermal simulations to validate design concepts.

Perform design for manufacturability analysis and create design documentation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and test engineers, to ensure seamless integration of designs.

Support the manufacturing team by providing technical assistance and resolving issues related to electrical designs.

Participate in design reviews and provide input to improve design processes and product quality.

Integrate third-party subsystems, including COTS power supplies, third-party motherboards, GPUs, and I/O cards such as network and storage.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.


0-2 years of experience in electrical design or related field.

Basic knowledge of schematic and CAD tools for PCB layout.

Hands-on experience with lab tools such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters (DMM).

Familiarity with Intel architectures, including dual socket Xeon and server-class platforms, is a plus.

Understanding of high-speed interconnects such as DDR, PCIe, UPI, and USB is beneficial.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.


Work Environment:

This position is based in Duluth, GA, and requires onsite work. There is some flexibility for occasional remote work at the manager's discretion.
