Qualifications:

We're looking for an Electrical Engineer with a strong foundation in high-voltage substation design and a passion for delivering quality work in the utility or electrical construction industry.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus

Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within a utility or electrical construction firm
• Specialized experience in High Voltage Substation Design (69 kV and above), including:
• Layouts and sections
• Medium and high voltage equipment details
• Ground grid calculations, layouts, and details
• Protection & Control (P&C) design: schematics, single-line and three-line diagrams
• Wiring schematics

Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with the NEC for cable sizing, grounding, conduit/raceway design, low-voltage panels, and underground cable design is preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or other CAD software
• Knowledge of MS Office for documentation and reporting
• Familiarity with MS Project and/or Primavera for project scheduling
• Understanding of NETA testing standards
• Preferred experience with MATLAB, Mathcad, ETAP, and/or CAPE for electrical calculations and simulations
