Position Overview

Our client, a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, is looking to add an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to their growing team in Prince George, BC. Our client are willing to pay to relocate a suitable candidate. This is a full-time permanent position with great growth potential.


This is a growth-oriented opportunity where you'll take the lead on mechanical building systems design for commercial, residential, institutional and heavy industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong client-facing skills, a passion for solving technical problems, and a demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept through to completion.


Key Responsibilities Include the Following:

  • Lead mechanical engineering design for building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and related infrastructure
  • Conduct site visits and provide technical input during installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases
  • Develop mechanical specifications, equipment schedules, and design documentation
  • Interface with multidisciplinary teams including structural, electrical, and civil engineers
  • Prepare and review drawings, reports, and technical documentation for internal and client use
  • Participate in business development activities and proposal preparation
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies


Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Registered P.Eng. in good standing with EGBC (or eligible for registration)
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably involving commercial, multi-family, or industrial facilities
  • Strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems, building codes, and industry standards
  • Field experience working on active construction or industrial sites
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with clients and cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused
