Electrical Engineer

Location: Elora, Ontario

Full-Time On-Site Travel to Construction Sites Required

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Elora, Ontario. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong background in electrical design for construction or consulting environments. You will contribute to the design, development, and execution of electrical systems on multidisciplinary projects throughout Ontario.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review calculations, technical drawings, specifications, and procurement documents for construction and tendering purposes.
  • Design, develop, validate, and supervise the installation of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Contribute to electrical power and distribution designs, including high and low voltage systems.
  • Design and model systems for lighting, fire alarms, process control, power distribution, HVAC, and communication infrastructure.
  • Managed and executed electrical infrastructure projects, including documentation, site assessments, and construction support.
  • Travel regularly to construction sites across Ontario to conduct inspections, commissioning, and project meetings.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer in a Construction, Architectural, or Consulting firm.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or expected to obtain P.Eng. designation by 2025.
  • Proven proficiency in the design and layout of electrical systems, including lighting and power distribution.
  • Experience with industrial HVAC controls and application of relevant codes and standards.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; capable of working within cross-functional project teams.
