Location: Pickering, ON

Responsibilities:

• Depending on the phase of the project where they will be assigned : conceptual / preliminary / detail design / ready for installation & commissioning, they will have to :
• Review & understanding of the current documents (diagrams / schematics)
• Run the electrical transient analyzer program (ETAP), used for simulation of the electrical network
• Define / size / calculate (electrical calculation for the power) : cable sizing / connection wire diagram / technical specification & data sheet(to purchase the equipment)
• As an example the latest project was in Pickering to replace inverters (switch direct currant to alternative) & rectifiers (the opposite, switch alternative to direct current)
• the main type of equipment they will encounter / to have experience with : inverters, rectifiers, transformers, converter, power system, switchgear - circuit breakers

Requirement:

• Experience with the list of equipment (at least some of them) :inverters, rectifiers, transformers, converter, power system, switchgear - circuit breakers
• Nuclear experience for the clearance (Bruce Power or OPG)
• Deep knowledge of ESA (electrical safety authority) / CSA (Canadian standards association)
