Our client, a leading engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for sustainable design which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Pay Range: $104,000 - $123,000 annually
What's the Job?
- Serve as the engineering leader through all stages of a project of any size and play a larger role in the marketing of the studio and management of the discipline.
- Lead and perform analysis, design, and documentation of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and controls.
- Assist in establishing project goals, budgets, and schedules, track project performance, and follow/enforce quality control procedures.
- Meet with clients, project teams, code officials, contractors, and others to address mechanical discipline issues and develop effective working relationships.
- Present engineering design solutions to client representatives and/or design review committees.
What's Needed?
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience working as a mechanical engineer designing HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, sustainable design, and automatic control systems, including experience performing energy modeling.
- LEED AP preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in dealing with internal and external clients.
