Job Description:
- Candidates will contribute to full lifecycle hardware development, from concept through integration and testing.
- Roles will involve analog/digital circuit design, signal interface development, lab testing, and system integration.
- These are hands-on positions requiring strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and Navy stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify PCB-level electronic designs
- Analyze and design analog and digital circuits, including signal conditioning and communication interfaces (RS-422, RS-485, LVDS)
- Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware
- Support test system development and define test criteria
- Conduct trade studies to determine optimal component and system-level solutions
- Design cable assemblies and generate interface documentation
- Present technical issues, designs, and findings to internal and customer stakeholders
Technical Skill Requirements:
- Hands-on circuit design (analog and digital)
- Proficiency with lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators)
- Experience across the engineering development lifecycle (concept, requirements, design, test)
- Familiarity with SPICE tools, schematic entry (OrCAD preferred), and collaboration with layout teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with firmware/microcontrollers or VHDL/Verilog is a plus
Tier 1: Electrical Engineer (2-4 Years Experience)
Experience Level:
- 2+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience (or Master's with applicable coursework or project work)
Key Characteristics:
- Strong foundational circuit design and test skills
- Early-career engineer eager to grow in a collaborative development environment
- Able to contribute to design and test execution with guidance from senior team members
Tier 2: Advanced Electrical Engineer (5+ Years Experience)
Experience Level:
- 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience (or Master's with 3+ years)
Key Characteristics:
- Mid-level engineer capable of independently leading subsystem-level development
- Can take ownership of PCB design, testing strategies, and system integration tasks
- Comfortable interfacing with customer representatives and presenting technical material
- This client is a US Federal Government contractor and is legally required to hire US Citizens. US Citizens will only be considered for this role.
