Job Title - Project Manager / Mechanical Engineer

Location - West Point, NY

Duration - Direct-Hire

Schedule -Mon-Fri Mostly remote with weekly site visits

Pay - $50-$70/hour

Job Summary:

Seeking a Project Manager with a Mechanical Engineering background to lead construction projects, preferably with federal or military experience. The role blends technical engineering with project management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee construction and building projects (large-scale preferred)
• Manage reporting, budgeting, scheduling, and safety inspections
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide mechanical engineering support through design, testing, and commissioning
• Respond to RFIs and participate in project meetings
• Support in corrosion control, seismic upgrades, and hazard abatement (a plus)
• Electrical engineering knowledge and Civil Works experience are strong assets

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Engineering degree or background
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Experience with federal/government or military construction projects
• Ability to work remotely and conduct weekly site visits
• Electrical engineering experience is a big plus
• Bonus: Experience with dredging, shoreline protection, and flood risk management
