Salary: $90- 100K

Must Haves

- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (Electrical Engineering degree preferred)

- 3 years of experience overall

- RF testing experience

- Hardware and software experience

- Ability to read schematics

- Software experience in python or C# or C++ or Phyton and Java

-Programing and coding experience; not VHDL

-Experience using test and lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, power meters, etc

Day to day

A client in the defense industry is looking to add 6 Application Engineers to their team on site in Orlando, FL. They will be responsible for developing hardware and software for functional and diagnostic testing for electrical assemblies. They will be designing cables for the mechanical team, testing military radios, and performing RF testing. They will be responsible for working on about 10,000 lines of code, addressing technical issues, and troubleshooting problems for existing systems. They will be developing test programs, analyzing test results and identifying root cause of failures. They will be collaborating with team members and working closely with customers to understand their needs and provide technical solutions.

Job Description

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Developing and Testing: Developing hardware and software necessary for functional and diagnostic testing of various electrical assemblies.
  • Problem-Solving: Addressing technical issues and troubleshooting problems with existing systems.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining detailed documentation for the systems you work on, including test procedures and results.

Collaboration:

  • Team Meetings: Regularly participating in team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Customer Interaction: Working closely with customers to understand their needs and provide technical support and solutions.
  • Cross-Departmental Work: Collaborating with other departments, such as product management and quality assurance, to ensure the successful implementation of projects.
