Summary:


My client is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of electrical and control systems, with a strong emphasis on data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas and have the authority to review and approve electrical designs. This is a hybrid role based in Dallas, TX. Relocation assistance and sponsorship are available for qualified candidates.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and technical requirements into scalable engineering solutions.
  • Provide oversight and approval for electrical system designs, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and codes.
  • Lead and contribute to the design and deployment of SCADA, HMI, and control systems supporting critical infrastructure.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on electrical systems in data center design, including power distribution, control architecture, and commissioning.
  • Support the development of standardized procedures for installation, operations, and maintenance.
  • Interpret, modify, and approve electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams.
  • Travel may be required up to 25%.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Active PE license in Texas (or ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe).
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical design and automation, with a focus on mission-critical or data center projects.
  • Proficiency in SCADA and HMI development, as well as PLC/VFD systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript; experience with databases is a plus.
  • Comfortable with UNIX/Linux shell scripting and Windows operating environments.
  • Solid experience with electrical control components (e.g., relays, VFDs, motor starters).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
