We are looking for a Principal Process Engineer to work with one of our major clients located in Houston, TX.

The Principal Process Engineer provides technical process engineering support to offshore production facilities in the Gulf of Mexico. This role collaborates with Operations, Production Engineering, and HSE to optimize production, ensure safe and reliable operations, and support brownfield project integration.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert process engineering support across topsides, subsea flowlines, and onshore systems.
• Identify and implement process improvements and engineering modifications via MOC procedures.
• Participate in risk assessments (HAZOPs, HAZIDs, LOPAs) and lead or support Root Cause Analyses.
• Maintain process surveillance tools and KPIs; ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Advise on process safety and operational risks; guide engineering contractors as needed.
• Support incident response and technical input to "Case to Operate" scenarios.
• Conduct site visits to offshore facilities as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of industry experience, with 10+ years in oil & gas facility support.
• Expertise in separation, dehydration, compression, and deepwater flow assurance.
• Proficient in simulation tools (e.g., HYSYS), process safety, and industry standards (API, ISA/IEEE).
• Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Gulf of Mexico regulations, including BSEE and 30 CFR Part 250.
