Sr. Electrical Engineer, Sunnyvale, CA


Sr. Electrical Engineer, Sensors for AR Glasses

Meta is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team in Sunnyvale, CA! This position will be working on sensor design and bring-up activities for a variety of sensors, contributing directly to the AR Glasses and Wearables product lines. The ideal candidate with have experience in sensor design and bring-up, as well as characterization and validation.


Responsibilities:

  • Prototype new sensor architectures and work through bring-up activities
  • Spearhead sensor design and bring-up, including design, characterization, and validation
  • Define Sensor characterization/validation methodologies for sensors
  • Track and execute detailed test plans for the system modules and subsystems characterization to meet key deadlines and priority goals.
  • Contribute to the design of new sensor module architectures to support additional features
  • Develop automated test setups with SW scripting to implement module characterization/validation
  • Own execution, interpretation, and reporting of results.
  • Support system sensing system bring-up and debug activities
  • Clearly communicate test plans and results


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of engineering experience with strong sensor design & development experience
  • HW/EE design and development experience for consumer electronics or similar products
  • Hands-on experience in design, development, characterization, and validation of sensing applications
  • Sensor design experience for 1 or more of the following - Capacitive Sensors (CapTouch), Force, touch, motion, EEG, ECG, EMG, or ambient light sensors
  • Understanding of board schematics and board layout and design principles
  • Ability to find proper probe locations and identify potential points of failure in the DUT.
  • Skilled using Python for data processing and automation.
  • Self-motivated and team player
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's in electrical engineering, Physics, or computer science
