Mechanical Engineer - Schematics Focus

An innovative aerospace company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in schematic design to support the development of complex mechanical and electrical systems for high-altitude platforms. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration and accurate documentation of designs.

Responsibilities:

• Create and interpret schematic drawings for system integration, wiring, and assemblies
• Translate engineering concepts into manufacturable schematics
• Collaborate with electrical, systems, and manufacturing teams
• Participate in design reviews and update schematics based on feedback
• Maintain documentation using PLM/version control systems
• Assist with troubleshooting during production and testing

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and schematics (preferably in aerospace or advanced manufacturing)
• Proficient in CAD and schematic tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Altium)
• Understanding of mechanical-electrical integration
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred:

• Experience in aerospace, UAVs, or high-altitude systems
• Familiarity with IPC/ANSI standards
• Knowledge of PLM tools (e.g., Arena, Windchill)
• Hands-on integration or prototyping experience
