Job Title: Electrical Engineering Project Lead

Job Summary:
Lead and manage electrical engineering activities for large-scale energy projects, ensuring contract requirements are met and technical standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of electrical engineering execution in projects, ensuring compliance with customer contracts and specs.

  • Lead the electrical engineering team and collaborate closely with the project engineering manager, general project management, and other key stakeholders.

  • Oversee internal and external suppliers, particularly regarding electrical, instrumentation & control (I&C), and layout interfaces.

  • Provide regular project updates on engineering progress, technical issues, and risks or opportunities.

  • Guide the electrical design process-including concept development, technical specifications, and Bill of Quantities (BoQs).

  • Identify and manage project risks, opportunities, and potential claims.

  • Ensure on-time delivery of all engineering outputs, adherence to quality standards, and efficient use of engineering hours.

  • Support construction and commissioning teams by resolving electrical issues on-site.

  • Help reduce and prevent non-conformance costs (NCCs).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering for large-scale projects (e.g., power plants, data centers, HVDC or substations).

  • Strong technical expertise in electrical power systems, MCCs, MV/LV switchgear, transformers, converters, rectifiers, and line diagrams.

  • Background in project management and leading multicultural teams.

  • Experience with both proposal and execution phases of solution projects.

  • HVDC transmission experience is a plus.

  • PE (Professional Engineer) license in the U.S. is a plus.

  • Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

  • Skilled in working with international teams and clients.

  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
