Job Description:

Mechanical Engineer - HVAC/MEP Design (Sustainable Buildings)

Location: SF Bay Area (Hybrid)

Looking to design buildings that actually make a difference? Join a mission-driven design firm that's rethinking how commercial spaces are built-with a focus on energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and climate-resilient systems.

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer who's passionate about sustainability and wants full lifecycle project involvement-from early design to system commissioning. If you know your way around Revit and have experience with HVAC/MEP systems in commercial projects, this could be your next move.

What You'll Do:

  • Design HVAC and mechanical systems that put sustainability first
  • Use Revit and other BIM tools to produce detailed, coordinated MEP drawings
  • Handle load calcs, equipment selection, and system layouts
  • Collaborate daily with architects, electrical engineers, and green building consultants
  • Be involved from concept through construction support and commissioning
  • Help evaluate performance and ensure quality installs during site visits

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of HVAC/MEP design experience (commercial or sustainability-focused work preferred)
  • Strong Revit skills-this is a must
  • Familiarity with LEED, WELL, or high-performance design standards
  • Great communication skills and a team-first mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's a bonus)
  • EIT or PE? Even better

Why You'll Want This Job:

  • You'll work on meaningful projects that reduce carbon emissions
  • You'll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team
  • You'll get exposure to every phase of design and delivery
  • Flexible hybrid schedule + competitive pay and benefits
  • Real career growth in a firm that's shaping the future of building design

Ready to work on buildings that actually walk the sustainability talk? Apply now and let's build something better.
