Are you an early-career electrical or solar design engineer looking to take the next step in a technical renewable energy career? A growing engineering consultancy based in New Jersey is expanding its solar division and hiring an Associate Solar Design Engineer to join their team.

This firm operates nationally and brings decades of multi-disciplinary expertise to commercial-scale renewable projects. As their solar portfolio rapidly scales, they're offering a unique opportunity for mentorship, growth, and technical development within complex, utility-interfacing PV projects.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with senior engineers on the full design lifecycle of commercial solar PV systems.
• Support and contribute to site investigations, CAD drafting, electrical layout design, and construction documentation.
• Develop electrical distribution designs, single-line diagrams, and perform medium-voltage calculations.
• Prepare solar modeling and system performance analyses using PVsyst and other tools.
• Conduct code compliance reviews and assist with utility coordination and permitting.

What They're Looking For:

• 1-3 years of experience in solar PV or electrical engineering design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; PVsyst or ETAP experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to produce quality construction documents independently or with light supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A desire to grow within a collaborative team that values technical excellence and long-term career development.
