As an Electrical Engineer at SV Microwave, you will

  • Develop state-of-the-art microwave or RF connectors and passive components in accordance with customer requirements
  • Initiate basic new designs using EM simulation and analytical methods
  • Trouble shoot problem designs using analytical analysis
  • Interface with customers
  • Review customer requirements and new product requirements
  • Work with Manufacturing, Quality and Sales to resolve problems
  • Build engineering prototypes
  • Operate microwave test equipment, perform test analysis and improve lab throughput
  • Develop customized software for design of microwave connectors and components
  • Select appropriate simulation software for design use
  • Review work of designers, CAD operators, technicians, and junior engineers
  • Complete special projects such as investigating specialized test software for lab use
  • Investigate RF techniques for transmission of high-speed digital signals


Requirements

  • BSEE
  • Experience with electrical lab equipment
  • 0 - 5 years' experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office


Desired

  • MSEE degree
  • Familiarity with transmission line theory and high-speed digital circuits
  • Experience with Network Analyzers and TDR analysis
  • Thin film or resistive product knowledge
  • Experience with EM simulation (CST/HFSS), PCB Layout Software, and Solidworks


Desired Traits

  • Capable of making informed decisions based upon knowledge and experience
  • Capable of directing one or more engineering support personnel
