About Our Client

Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking engineering firm specializing in high-performance downhole tools and technology solutions that serve critical sectors like energy and resource development. This opportunity is ideal for early-career mechanical engineers who are passionate about hands-on design work, prototyping, and iterative product development.


Key Responsibilities

As the Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and improvement of mechanical components and assemblies. Your responsibilities will include:

Design & Drafting Support:

o Create and revise detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks.

o Translate design concepts into manufacturable, cost-effective components.

Prototype Testing & Validation:

o Support product testing efforts, including lab setup, test execution, and data collection.

o Participate in failure analysis and help document test results to guide design improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

o Work closely with senior engineers and technologists during design reviews and product iterations.


Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:

Education & Experience:

o A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology is preferred.

o 1-3 years of experience in a design-focused or hands-on engineering environment.

Technical Skills:

o Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.

o Familiarity with mechanical testing equipment and design validation processes is an asset.

Key Competencies:

o Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

o Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

o A self-starter with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and technical challenges.
