Job Description:

Comal Services is seeking a highly motivated and technically astute Technical Solutions Engineer to drive the growth of our installed base services. In this critical role, your primary focus will be leveraging your electrical engineering expertise to identify, develop, and close sales opportunities for our comprehensive range of aftermarket services, including engineering upgrades, turnkey installations, maintenance contracts, and life extension solutions for critical electrical infrastructure.


As a trusted technical advisor, you will engage with commercial and industrial clients, utilizing your in-depth electrical engineering knowledge to understand their unique challenges and recommend tailored service offerings. You will develop and deliver compelling technical presentations, build strong relationships with key technical stakeholders, and collaborate closely with our internal engineering and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage in technical sales activities, including identifying, qualifying, and pursuing new service opportunities within the installed base.
  • Conduct detailed technical assessments of customer electrical power systems to identify service needs and potential solutions.
  • Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations and proposals that clearly articulate the value proposition of Comal Services' offerings from an electrical engineering perspective.
  • Serve as a key technical point of contact for customers, providing expert advice and guidance on their electrical power system challenges and service requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering, project management, and field service teams to develop and ensure the successful delivery of technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders at customer organizations, including engineers, maintenance managers, and facility managers.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in electrical power distribution technology and services.
  • Develop and execute strategic technical sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven ability to understand and communicate complex electrical engineering principles and apply them to service solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in presenting and selling technical electrical engineering service solutions and retrofit options to end-user customers.
  • In-depth technical understanding of legacy and current electrical switchgear and switchboard technology from manufacturers such as Square D, GE, Westinghouse, Federal Pacific, and Allis Chalmers.
  • Proficiency in using technical documentation and applying it to customer solutions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and technical presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex electrical engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems (e.g., ) for managing sales activities and technical information.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
