Job Description:

Lead Electrical Engineer - Pharma Projects Hybrid (US)

Project Leadership Electrical Design Process Manufacturing

Norristown, Pennsylvania - Hybrid

Full-time Paid Overtime Career Leadership Role

We're hiring a Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee major pharmaceutical design projects with a leading global engineering firm in growth mode. You'll be responsible for leading teams, owning design scopes, and delivering technical excellence across mission-critical, process-driven facilities.

This role is 100% focused on pharmaceutical facility design, but we welcome candidates from similar process manufacturing industries (e.g., oil & gas, food & beverage, etc.) who are ready to step into this space.

Why this role?

  • Lead key projects in a recession-resilient sector where demand is booming
  • Be a go-to expert in a company that's investing in expansion and long-term talent
  • Enjoy hybrid flexibility, with minimal travel (typically 1-2 site visits/month)
  • Paid overtime for billable hours (no bonus, but overtime starts after 40 hours)
  • Join a firm with strong project pipelines, career advancement, and a collaborative culture

What you'll do:

  • Lead electrical design for large-scale pharma facilities from feasibility to detailed design
  • Manage and mentor project teams, oversee document production, and maintain QA/QC
  • Coordinate with clients, project managers, and design professionals across disciplines
  • Perform and review technical calculations (load studies, arc flash, conduit sizing, etc.)
  • Write scopes of work, review contractor submittals, and guide project execution
  • Drive continuous improvement in tools, methods, and standards across the team

You'll bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in building electrical systems (distribution, life safety, standby power, etc.)
  • Background in pharma, F&B, oil & gas, or another regulated/process industry
  • Strong MEP consulting and design-to-construction experience
  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering + Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and tools like SKM, EasyPower, AmpCalc
  • Experience leading teams, mentoring engineers, and owning project delivery

This is a mission-critical role at the heart of a growing, high-performing team. If you're a technical leader who thrives in complex design environments and wants to shape the future of pharma engineering, we want to hear from you.
