Your Role
• Performing mechanical (HVAC) design for a variety of projects, including but not limited to buildings and facilities (hospitals, laboratories, high-rise residential, hotel, office, and other commercial and institutional projects
• Working alongside commissioning engineers, and at times leading efforts for building infrastructure reviews and retro-commissioning opportunities that are focused on energy conservation and improved operation.
• Incorporating design changes using AutoCAD and/or Revit software
• Meeting project schedules and performing work within budgetary constraints
• Attending meetings with architects, owners, and building managers to discuss future or current projects
• Reviewing submittals and providing responses to Requests for Information
• Conducting activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards
• Pursuing continuous professional development and maintaining a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• Eight to 15 years of experience in the design of building HVAC systems for healthcare, higher education, high-rise residential, hotel, and office buildings, and other commercial, institutional facilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit software
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook)
• Excellent technical skills, strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment
• PE registration is highly preferred, or EIT with the ability to obtain a PE
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed
