A leading MEP and sustainability consulting firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its growing team in the New York City metro area. This firm is known for delivering high-performance, energy-efficient building solutions for top-tier clients across healthcare, higher education, hospitality, and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design electrical power systems for a wide range of facilities, including hospitals, labs, high-rise residential, hotels, offices, and institutional buildings.
  • Collaborate with commissioning teams and lead infrastructure assessments and retro-commissioning efforts focused on energy optimization.
  • Incorporate design updates using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets while ensuring technical excellence.
  • Participate in client meetings with architects, owners, and facility managers.
  • Review submittals and respond to RFIs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, industry codes, and regulations.
  • Stay current with industry trends and pursue ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8-15 years of experience in building power system design across commercial and institutional sectors.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • PE license preferred (or EIT with intent to obtain PE).
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
