A leading MEP and sustainability consulting firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its growing team in the New York City metro area. Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical power systems for a wide range of facilities, including hospitals, labs, high-rise residential, hotels, offices, and institutional buildings.
- Collaborate with commissioning teams and lead infrastructure assessments and retro-commissioning efforts focused on energy optimization.
- Incorporate design updates using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Manage project timelines and budgets while ensuring technical excellence.
- Participate in client meetings with architects, owners, and facility managers.
- Review submittals and respond to RFIs.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, industry codes, and regulations.
- Stay current with industry trends and pursue ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8-15 years of experience in building power system design across commercial and institutional sectors.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- PE license preferred (or EIT with intent to obtain PE).
- Willingness to travel as needed.
