Role: Senior Electromechanical Engineer

Location: San Francisco Bay Area (On-Site)

Salary: $150,000-$170,000 Base

Position Summary:

The Aeromechanical team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you'll be the subject matter expert in the design and integration of electrical harnesses and avionics enclosures, playing a key part in the success of pioneering eVTOL aircraft.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, integration, and optimization of the vehicle's electrical harness systems
  • Develop avionics enclosures focused on structural performance, manufacturability, and thermal management
  • Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and systems teams to ensure cohesive system integration
  • Perform detailed analysis including thermal modeling, stress analysis, and system validation
  • Use CAD and simulation tools to develop detailed designs and manufacturing documentation
  • Interface with suppliers and oversee component sourcing and production
  • Support system-level testing, validation, and continuous design improvement
  • Contribute to internal standards and best practices for harness and enclosure development
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements in electrical and mechanical design


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical harness and enclosure design (aerospace or automotive preferred)
  • Proficiency in CATIA and electrical routing/enclosure tools
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and thermal management
  • Experience with thermal/structural simulation software (e.g., ANSYS)
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and cross-functional collaboration skills
