Description
- As an Electrical Engineer at Client, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our electrical grid.
- Your responsibilities will encompass system modeling, design reviews, compliance adherence, and technical leadership across transmission and substation projects.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, external organizations, and industry groups to uphold Client's commitment to excellence and innovation in the energy sector
Key Responsibilities
- System Modeling & Analysis: Develop and validate models for transmission lines, substations, and transformers to ensure operational accuracy and reliability.
- Design Reviews: Conduct engineering design reviews for substation projects, including QA/QC checklists, one-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Compliance & Standards: Serve as the station contact for NERC compliance, Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), alarm management, and testing of station protective devices.
- Technical Leadership: Advise and assist technician-level employees with configuration, programming, and troubleshooting. Lead upgrades and system improvements, including the development of system replacement specifications and performance requirements.
- Project Management: Prepare financial justifications, budgeting, schedule performance, and documentation of projects. Coordinate activities of other technical services personnel for routine, project, and emergency issues across all technical disciplines.
- Collaboration & Industry Engagement: Participate in industry working groups to enhance Client's leadership in transmission activities. Seek opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and relationships with neighboring companies and organizations.
- Storm Restoration Support: Provide support during significant system disturbances to ensure rapid restoration and minimal downtime.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
