Job Overview:
Belcan is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Analog/Mixed Signal Circuit Design) to support the Avionics Design Group (ADG) at a leading aerospace and defense company in Chandler, AZ. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic engineering team contributing to the development and testing of avionics systems for launch vehicles and associated automated test equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test analog and mixed-signal circuits for avionics systems.
- Model and simulate electronic circuits and document findings with detailed analyses.
- Generate technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and test procedures.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and remediate issues during development and production phases.
- Collaborate with systems engineers to conduct architecture studies and subsystem evaluations.
- Support full lifecycle testing: from planning and procedures to execution and refinement.
- Collect and analyze test data to inform process improvements in testing and manufacturing.
- Ensure communication of project status with internal stakeholders and program management.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of circuit design experience OR
- Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with schematic capture, PWB layout tools, and DFM methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE/PSpice).
- Familiarity with standard test instruments: oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, waveform generators, etc.
- Working knowledge of programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C, or C++.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Ability to use basic manual tools and create component specifications.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Cadence Capture CIS and Allegro design suite.
- Familiarity with CAM350 and motor control circuit design.
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience with Worst-Case and Sneak Circuit Analysis.
- Familiarity with VHDL and related development tools.
