Senior Processing Engineer - Drive Innovation in Automotive Manufacturing!


As a key member of the engineering team, you'll take ownership of designing, implementing, and refining the processes and tooling that keep the assembly floor moving efficiently and safely. You'll bridge the gap between concept and production, supporting cross-functional teams while ensuring top-tier quality and compliance standards.

The Role:

  • Lead data-driven initiatives to optimize production equipment and processes
  • Creating and revising mechanical designs and technical drawings for assembly tooling, fixtures, and assembly equipment to support production, tooling, and maintenance teams
  • Manage equipment development from RFQs and vendor coordination to on-site installation
  • Provide technical guidance to Maintenance, Toolroom, and Production teams
  • Conduct cost analysis and develop capital approval documentation
  • Ensure adherence to health & safety, ergonomic, and environmental regulations
  • Represent the department during customer visits and production reviews
  • Contribute to new product launches, qualification processes, and engineering change management
  • Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to troubleshoot and drive improvements


What You Bring:

  • A degree or diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
  • P.Eng. or PMP designation
  • 5 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing setting
  • Skilled in design software (CAD, SOLIDWORKS) for mechanical designs in tooling, fixtures and equipment
  • Working knowledge of vibratory welding, injection/comolding, and plastics processing
  • Familiarity with PFMEAs, time studies, capability assessments, and production reporting systems
