Position Summary:

SAMCO Technologies is a leader in the Pure Water and Wastewater Industry. This individual will be responsible for developing detailed mechanical and structural designs on a project-to-project basis.

Position Responsibilities:

• Execution of detailed design activities as well as technical oversight of Mechanical Designers to complete detailed design activities
• Development of process plant and structural steel skid mounted unit assembly drawings and plant general arrangement drawings using Autodesk Inventor in coordination with multidisciplinary project team
• Structural analysis
• Part modeling and library maintenance in Autodesk Inventor
• Part specification and development of assembly bill of materials
• Support purchasing and manufacturing activities related to assembly construction
• Development of assembly field installation instructions
• Shop inspection and documentation

Core Competencies:

• Read a Piping and Instrumentation Drawing (P&ID)
• Modeling with Autodesk Inventor, namely process piping and structural steel assemblies. Requires familiarity with Frame Generator and Tube & Pipe functions
• Knowledge of process equipment (mainly pressure vessels and pumps), pipe, valves, fittings, structural steel shapes

Desirable Abilities:

• Familiarity with concepts of pipe stress and flexibility analysis, structural analysis
• Familiarity with application of ASME B31 piping codes (specifically B31.3 and B31.1)
