We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to aid in critical projects in the Oil and Gas industry, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and driving successful project outcomes.


Role Overview

  • Manage relationships and contracts with Engineering Services Providers (ESP).
  • Lead design review processes with stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Oversee material specification and requisition, evaluating vendor quotations and collaborating with Supply Chain for procurement.
  • Support planning and scheduling during design and procurement phases.
  • Provide technical support throughout all project phases, including development, design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Ensure incorporation of red-line markups into as-built drawings by managing ESP.
  • Assist in developing project scope, schedule, capital cost estimates, execution planning, and risk assessments.
  • Support Operations with incident investigations post-project handover.
  • Review lessons learned from past projects to enhance future designs.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Electrical Design: Proficient in designing power distribution systems for Oil and Gas facilities.
  • ESP Management: Experience in managing Engineering Services Providers effectively.
  • Control Schematics Analysis: Hands-on experience analyzing control schematics for power equipment.
  • National Codes Knowledge: Strong understanding of CEC, NEC, API, IEEE, UL standards.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Planning and Organizational Skills: Proven ability to plan, organize, and negotiate effectively.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer designation with APEGA or eligibility to register.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in relevant engineering roles.
