Lead Electrical Engineer

Location: Bradenton Florida

Full time position

Pay Rate: Up to $100k-115k/annum


Job Summary

We're hiring a Lead Electrical Engineer to spearhead the design and development of cutting-edge electronics for our fire detection and safety systems. This position offers the chance to take ownership of sophisticated analog, digital, and embedded hardware design efforts and ensure they meet the most rigorous industry standards. You'll work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and mentor the next generation of engineering talent.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive the end-to-end design of analog and digital circuits used in safety-critical devices.
  • Develop and optimize embedded system architectures for high-performance, reliable products.
  • Conduct simulation and validation of circuits using tools like PSpice and other modeling software.
  • Troubleshoot and verify circuit behavior using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other lab instruments.
  • Ensure product designs comply with relevant industry and regulatory standards.
  • Lead product certification and agency testing efforts (e.g., UL, CE listings).
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to team members.
  • Collaborate closely with firmware, mechanical, and operations teams to enhance manufacturability.
  • Propose and execute process improvements that enhance engineering workflow and product quality.
  • Manage deliverables across multiple projects while balancing timelines and resources.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in electronic circuit design and development.
  • Expertise in both analog and high-speed digital design.
  • Background in embedded hardware development and system integration.
  • Hands-on experience with simulation tools (e.g., PSpice) and electrical lab testing equipment.
  • Proven ability to navigate regulatory environments and certification processes.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) in a production-focused environment.


Preferred Attributes:

  • Prior work in life safety, fire alarm, or mission-critical electronic systems.
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
