Next-Gen Aerospace Systems
We're an early-stage aerospace startup building advanced electronics systems for next-generation space vehicles and payloads. Our team is developing cutting-edge systems to enable high-speed capture and processing in some of the most extreme environments.
We're seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to architect and guide the development of space-rated avionics systems someone who thrives at the intersection of hardware, high-speed data, and flight-proven reliability.
What You'll Do
- Lead the electrical design and development of video processing units, and avionics systems for space applications
- Own the design of high-speed signal interfaces and camera/sensor integration
- Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, software, and mechanical teams to ensure end-to-end integration
- Design for radiation tolerance, thermal stability, and launch/space operational constraints
- Support schematic capture, layout guidance, bring-up, and test of custom PCBs (digital, analog, and mixed-signal)
- Interface with flight heritage components as well as novel custom electronics for next-gen payloads
- Evaluate and validate components for performance under thermal, vibration, and vacuum conditions
- Guide junior engineers and contribute to technical direction, roadmapping, and architecture
You Might Be a Fit If You Have:
- 5-10+ years of experience in space electronics, avionics, or aerospace hardware development
- Proven background designing control modules, video/data processing boards, or sensor systems for space or high-reliability environments
- Experience with high-speed digital signals, camera interfaces (e.g., MIPI, LVDS, SerDes), and sensor data acquisition
- Familiarity with radiation effects and EMI/EMC considerations
- Strong skills in PCB design (Altium or similar), schematic capture, and hands-on prototyping/debugging
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with space payload development, satellite buses, or cubesats
- Knowledge of FPGAs, optical sensor systems, and signal integrity
- Previous work on video recorders, storage systems, or data stream compression/handling
- Hands-on work with environmental testing: TVAC, vibration, radiation testing
Why Join Us
- Work on hardware that literally leaves the planet
- Small, mission-driven team building real flight systems
- Hands-on access to space-grade tech and rapid iteration cycles
- Opportunity to grow into technical leadership at the earliest stage
- Equity in a growing business
