About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Electrical Engineer to lead and manage the electrical infrastructure at a new advanced manufacturing site. This role will serve as the technical owner of high-voltage systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and operational excellence across the facility.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert for electrical systems up to 12.4kV, including UPS and backup generators
- Ensure electrical system safety, capacity, and reliability to support critical operations
- Perform load calculations, feeder selection, and evaluate system performance and energy use
- Lead preventive maintenance efforts for transformers, UPS, generators, and batteries
- Monitor real-time power usage through central control systems
- Create and maintain technical documentation (PMs, SOPs, training materials)
- Investigate and resolve electrical failures through root cause analysis
- Coordinate with utility providers for load planning and service disruptions
- Maintain and update electrical load databases to support system growth and redundancy
- Review ground fault coordination and Arc Flash studies for system safety
- Oversee installation and operation of PA systems, including training end users
- Train electricians on proper switching and troubleshooting procedures
- Ensure compliance with OEM specs, codes, and environmental standards
- Support Emergency Response Team (ERT) and assist with additional site needs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
- 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering with strong infrastructure knowledge
- Familiarity with industrial, commercial, or utility electrical systems
- Understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Experience with system design, build processes, and permitting
- Ability to work across facilities disciplines (controls, mechanical, utilities)
- Skilled in performance analysis, troubleshooting, and contractor management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing facilities
- Knowledge of cleanroom operations and energy efficiency strategies
- Familiarity with utility operations in highly regulated environments
