Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing systems, processes, machines, and tools for the efficient production of SMT and PTH electronic assemblies. You ll work closely with product design teams to drive improvements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal performance of manufacturing operations. This role is critical to continuous improvement and risk reduction on the production floor.
Responsibilities
  • Design manufacturing processes for new electronic assembly products
  • Collaborate with design team to provide DFM recommendations and prototype support
  • Drive efficiency and continuous improvement in production operations
  • Analyze failures using statistical methods and recommend design or process changes
  • Provide technical support to resolve manufacturing issues
  • Troubleshoot design, material, and process-related production problems
  • Develop tooling and equipment to reduce manual processing of PTH leads
  • Improve material handling and inventory control through automation/equipment
  • Monitor processes and equipment for potential safety risks
  • Report directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience with SMT and PTH equipment a MUST, including component prep, SPI, placement, reflow, AOI, and Wave/Selective Soldering
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Lean Manufacturing and 5S experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Global Shop
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

The base pay range for this position is $20.00/hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
