A leading mechanical contractor firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic pre-construction team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced professional ready to lead technically complex HVAC and plumbing design efforts, provide mentorship, and support engineering excellence across projects. The position is based out of San Jose or Alameda, CA, and offers a flexible hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities:
Mentor and guide junior engineers while supporting quality assurance reviews across mechanical design projects.
Collaborate with project managers to refine scopes, evaluate existing systems, and deliver efficient solutions aligned with California building codes.
Provide technical leadership throughout the design lifecycle, from feasibility through field support and coordination.
Participate in team training initiatives and support development plans to grow internal engineering talent.
Qualifications:
5+ years of mechanical engineering design- build experience in commercial construction.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proficient in AutoCAD 2023, Trace 700, and knowledgeable in Revit/BIM workflows, highly preferred.
Design-Build in the commercial or industrial industry
Location: San Jose, CA or Alameda, CA
Schedule: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite / 2 Remote)
Hourly: $55/hr. - $75/hr. (DOE) OT Eligible
