TRS is seeking an experienced SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER (Tailings Infrastructure) to join a collaborative and dynamic team working on impactful projects. This role involves developing detailed designs, drawings, technical specifications, and procurement packages while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and execution of mechanical engineering design packages, including technical reports, drawings, and cost estimates.
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct engineering calculations using proprietary and commercial tools.
- Independently manage small-scale projects, particularly in tailings pipelines, pumping systems, and related infrastructure.
- Mentor and support junior engineers in their professional development.
- Travel domestically and internationally to support project and client needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in British Columbia.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, ideally in mining or power & water industries with a focus on tailings systems, pipelines, and pumping infrastructure.
- Strong technical expertise and ability to provide innovative solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience in detailed design, drawings, technical specifications, and procurement packages.
- Valid BC driver's license.
- Asset: Familiarity with AutoCAD, AFT Fathom, HEC-HMS, Muk3D.
