Position Summary

Job Summary: As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, modifying, and evaluating components and processes used in LnW Gaming products and systems. You will determine design approaches, analyze equipment, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results to ensure optimal performance. Your expertise will be crucial in selecting reliable components and equipment while documenting procedures for installation and maintenance. You may also collaborate with users to define system requirements and necessary modifications.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Design, qualify, and test electronic components, sub-assemblies, and systems.
  • Provide ongoing support for existing hardware products.
  • Perform design validation and testing for both newly designed and existing electronic products.
  • Act as project manager for various development, testing, and sustaining engineering tasks.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal teams to provide electrical engineering product support.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of electrical assemblies and implement corrective actions.
  • Support engineering quality initiatives in cooperation with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications:

Training and/or Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in Electrical Hardware Development and Sustainment (full life cycle) with emphasis on Embedded Systems, Computer Architecture, and Circuit Design.
  • Experience with the complete life cycle of electronic system development including concept definition, working with distributors, selecting components, and product launch.
  • Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout using CAD Tools such as Altium or Orcad.
  • Strong understanding of various communication protocols including USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, RS-232, RS-485, JTAG, and PCIe.
  • Experience with diagnostics and forensic debugging of electronic circuit boards and assemblies.
  • Familiarity with EMC/EMI regulations and safety testing is preferred.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or significant equivalent experience.
