Job Description:

Design, collect data, analyze and compile reports on moderately difficult Process Engineering experiments, within safety guidelines. Perform hardware characterization on moderately difficult systems, within safety guidelines. Troubleshoot moderately complex problems, perform Root Cause Analysis and resolve moderately difficult process engineering issues. Measure film properties, organize data/reports for review and interpret data. Generate internal documentation for products, presentations and technical reports. Resolve moderately difficult process engineering issues/problems under general supervision. Identify, select and work with vendors and suppliers, under general supervision. Implement new technology, products and analytical instrumentation. Develops new or modified process formulations, defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products. Coordinates design requirement review with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. Conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes. Demonstrate knowledge and/or experience in each of the following: 1. Laser source evaluation, testing, characterization, maintenance, and documentation and Modification of .dxf or .dwg drawings to customize laser processing protocols 2. Python, LabView, A3200, AutoCAD Coding Language 3. Software User Interfaces: Direct Machining Control 4. Statistical Analysis in JMP and Cpk/Ppk determinations 5. Laser processing a wide variety of industrial materials using laser sources including sub-kW fiber & solid state slab 6. Development of laser-based process technologies encompassing cutting, drilling, patterning, separation, texturing, and scribing 7. Laser beam delivery technologies covering F-theta lens-based beam shaping and focusing and AOM (Acousto Optic Modulator) beam splitting 8. Positional 3D Calibration of 3-axis motion systems in laser systems covering 1 mm total travel and isolated travel zones 9. Process and equipment development of
