Overview: Responsible for the engineering, design, and support of high-voltage transmission and substation systems within an electrical utility environment. This role involves the planning and development of projects ranging from 12 kV to 500 kV, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the power grid. Key Responsibilities: Perform detailed electrical design and analysis for substation and transmission projects from 12 kV to 500 kV. Develop one-line diagrams, protection & control schematics, wiring diagrams, and physical layouts. Conduct electrical studies, including short circuit, load flow, grounding, and insulation coordination. Support equipment specification, procurement, and vendor drawing reviews. Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning of substation and transmission facilities. Ensure all work complies with utility standards, IEEE, NESC, NEC, and NEMA codes. Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, and field teams to ensure project completion within scope, schedule, and budget.
