Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Stationary Engineer - Facilities to join our client's dynamic team in El Dorado Hills. This is an on-site role where you will work 100% of the time and collaborate with high-performing teams. Perform maintenance inspection routes, monitor equipment, read gauges/meters, and record data in operational logs. Report abnormal conditions or alarms promptly. Assist with maintenance and operational tasks on electrical infrastructure equipment, including cleaning and wiping down critical systems. Operate large equipment (e.g., standby generators, electrical switchgear at 480V & 21,000V) once trained and qualified. Follow all safety procedures, including Lock-Out-Tag-Out, NFPA 70E, and facility security protocols. Maintain clean workspaces and equipment. Support inventory management for parts and consumables. Complete required administrative tasks and online training. Provide on-call support for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th shifts as needed. Report deficiencies and alarms that could impact critical infrastructure. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED plus one of the following: 2-year or 4-year degree, or technical/trade school certificate in electric power, power generation, or industrial operations. Military or merchant marine experience in power distribution or industrial facilities operations. 2 years of experience as an industrial Facilities Technician or Engineer. Equivalent combination of education and training. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook. Knowledge of basic hand and power tools; willingness to learn specialized tools and equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights (up to 35 ft), and operate lifts safely. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required. Must be able to distinguish colors and hear alarm signals in an industrial environment.
