Role Overview

  • Perform mechanical design and engineering tasks for nuclear projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review design packages, specifications, and technical reports related to mechanical systems.
  • Support modifications and upgrades to existing nuclear facilities, including equipment selection and system integration.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and analysis to validate design solutions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success and technical accuracy.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and constructability evaluations.
  • Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Ensure adherence to CSA N299, CSA N285, and ASME Section III codes and standards in design and implementation.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working on nuclear power plant projects with knowledge of nuclear industry regulations and best practices.
  • Familiarity with equipment such as pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, HVAC systems, fire protection systems, and piping systems.
  • Ability to interpret and apply CSA N299, CSA N285, and ASME Section III codes and standards in mechanical engineering tasks.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed in Ontario.
  • Experience in nuclear power plant projects.
