The Opportunity:
This role is a key contributor in helping the organization achieve its operational goals by applying strong engineering principles to install, modify, analyze, repair, improve, and test tools, engines, machinery, and other mechanical equipment. You'll play an important part in optimizing manufacturing processes, supporting equipment reliability, and driving continuous improvement across the facility.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Developing, evaluating, and improving industrial manufacturing methods using knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality standards.
- Analyzing space requirements and workflow to design efficient equipment and workspace layouts.
- Communicating manufacturing capabilities and process information to support production.
- Consulting with vendors and partnering with internal teams to implement effective procedures.
- Acting as a subject matter expert to train operators, helpers, packers, and supervisors.
- Monitoring equipment reliability and implementing changes to meet operational targets.
- Supporting supervisors with improvement requests and implementing new or revised procedures.
- Interpreting technical standards and developing corrective measures for facilities and equipment.
- Evaluating and maintaining required spare parts for your area of responsibility.
- Maintaining accurate and current documentation on all critical equipment.
- Researching and analyzing design proposals, specifications, and technical data to assess feasibility, cost, and maintenance needs.
- Investigating equipment failures and malfunctions to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports.
- Specifying system components or directing product modifications to meet engineering and performance standards.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
What You'll Need To Be Successful:
- Bachelor's Degree with an Engineering Certificate.
- 2-4 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on technical expertise, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with maintenance management software and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, and presentation.
- Strong time-management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, be proactive, and identify problems with effective solutions.
