Context:


To continue IKOS's growth in Canada, we are recruiting several Mechanical Engineers keen to take part in our missions in Montreal. As part of the quality engineering team, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and validation of advanced railway systems, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, contractual documents, applicable rules and regulations, and company procedures.


Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to the design, 3D modeling, and validation of railway components and systems.
  • Review and update 2D drawings, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.
  • Support general studies, layouts, and system integration activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and industrial teams.
  • Prepare technical deliverables, documentation, and follow-up reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and performance standards across project phases.


We'd love you to apply if:


  • You hold a Bachelor's and/or master's degree in science or any technical Engineering field.
  • You speak French and English at a working proficiency level.
  • You have experience with 3D modeling tools (CATIA V5 preferred).
  • You are detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You are a team player, curious, and motivated to learn.


Good to have :

  • Hands-on experience with CATIA V5 for drafting, 3D detailed design, and kinematic modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and dimensional tolerance analysis, with the ability to perform stack-up calculations.
  • Experience as a Mechanical Lead Engineer, capable of managing small teams while remaining technically involved.
  • Background in Weight & Balance Engineering, including weight allocation, monitoring, reporting, and compliance management.
