Responsibilities:
Due to continued growth, ENERCON's West Coast Nuclear Service Group is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join the team in our Fort Worth, TX office.
Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project and possess the ability to coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines
Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors
Prepare design studies, project scopes and engineering estimates
Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight
Prepare electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications and evaluate technical bids and select equipment
Devise new approaches to technical problems
Travel and participate in field installation, checkout, and start-up
Direct and oversee routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintain quality standards of all assigned projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
Minimum of 3 years' experience in Electrical Engineering design
Experience supporting modifications of Nuclear Power Plants preferred
Experience in electrical codes, standards and criteria for power systems
Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of electrical calculations is desired
Makes recommendations based on knowledge and experience
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills
Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
Uranium enrichment facility experience, or equivalent nuclear facility experience, is strongly preferred
Familiarity with NRC regulatory requirements, particularly 10CFR70 is preferred
Ensures plant designs contain adequate safety features based on best nuclear industrial facility practices and lessons learned
The ability to lead and mentor an engineering team is highly desirable and preferred
Ability to periodically travel to New Mexico is required
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" security clearance. A current DOE clearance is preferred
