Job Description:

The Senior Process Engineer will lead as a process engineer and a process supervisor in developing design packages, studies, and technical proposals. This individual will also process technology guidance from managers is expected to be minimal.

JOB DUTIES/Responsibilities

To manage the development and maintenance of process books by:

  • Conceiving the flow scheme
  • Simulating the unit
  • Developing the PFDs, MFDs and P&IDs comprehensively
  • Specifying all equipment, lines and instruments
  • Experienced in material selection for various services and technologies
  • Experienced in system engineering requirements and implications
  • Writing the process book
  • Writing the operating instructions
  • Providing help to Technology Expert or Technical Services staff on site
  • Leading the work on technical proposals
  • Executing some Process Studies and technology improvements
  • Participating in the startup of industrial facilities
  • Participating in training of the client personnel
  • Working on documents for Methods, Standards, or Procedures
  • Developing, configuring and optimizing industrial processes from inception through to start up.
  • Assessing unit performance including data collection and interpreting site data
  • Lead projects while effectively communicating all phases of process and implementing control points or process improvements as needed
  • Implements process control standards and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Highly knowledgeable and demonstrated ability to comply with Design & Development Procedure (PRI-ENG-PCD-0004)
  • Proficient in using all Process Engineering tools
  • Ability to check junior engineer's work
  • Ability to lead revamp projects
  • Ability to assume project management responsibilities for studies and small projects
  • Product pool evaluation expertise
  • Background in process engineering support to Technical Services staff or operating units
  • Proficient in use of process simulation modelling tools (Pro II), including troubleshooting
  • Knowledge and application of safety methodology and reviews (Process Hazards Analysis, Layers of Protection Analysis, etc.), including safeguarding
  • Awareness of project economic analysis and use of economics models
  • Ability to travel globally up to twenty percent (20%)
  • Ability to carry out weekly telecommunication with client and EPC
  • Be familiar with and capable of implementing the Management of Change process
Education

Bachelor's degree in chemical or petroleum engineering required, Masters preferred.

Work Experience

More than ten (10) years refining/petrochemical industry experience plus demonstrated ability to work on multiple assignments independently; assume role of Lead Engineer and process supervisor.
