Job Description:
to identify high-grade play types and mature prospect inventory. Provide resource assessment and identify key subsurface uncertainties and risks. Recommend and execute subsurface evaluation work program and studies required to address key subsurface uncertainties and/or risk for each exploration timeframe. Identify and recommend feasible drilling candidates. Present and defend technical position to partners and independent arbitrators. Provide technical input to drilling programs for exploration wells, including description of the subsurface, drilling target objectives and potential hazards. Work closely with drilling engineers, operations geologists, petrophysicists, and reservoir engineers on all aspects of well planning and implementation. Provide senior management with task schedules, work plans, regular progress reports and inputs into management reports. Prepare and present technical data to partners during all stages of project evaluation and well proposals, to achieve endorsements and approvals for proposed work activities. Represent the company at technical committee meetings and government meetings as required. Both domestic and international travel are required. Employer will accept a Masters degree in Geological Sciences, Geology, or related field and 10 years of experience in the job offered or in a Geologist-related occupation. Email resume to Ref .
